I love my family! We have SUCH a blast when we are all together. As you may know we had ALL our family together the week of the 4th and we danced long into the late night. My brother Greg and his wife Steph and kids were in town from Arizona. My other brother Mike and his wife Jen and their kids just moved this morning to Seattle. Mike got a assistant coaching position for the Seattle Seahawks. He's been a scout for them for about 5 years. We are going to miss them greatly but we will be seeing them soon. We are SO glad that we could dance the night away like the good ole' days. We SO CRAZY and know how to have a FUN time!!!
We also enjoyed Mike's family's last days here in Utah before they moved. Here are some pictures to show! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Emma=10 months....last Saturday

"Eye of the tiger"

I've been a little behind in my blogging with family being in town, the 4th, cleaning up, etc...
I had to mention that Emma turned 10 months last Saturday. She is so great. She is making the funniest noises and has the funniest language. When she's 'talking' she growls..she's our little dinosaur and has a total of 6 teeth that are completely broken through. Her teeth are hilarious....I think she might have her Mommy's teeth. Also, she has learned to pull herself up to stand. It's SO cute to walk into her room when waking from a nap and she'll just be standing up in her crib.

We love you so much Emma. You truly are the greatest blessing in our lives.
love, Mommy and Daddy!!

You know you grew up in the 80's when......

you're daughter can play with all of your old school toys you had growing up. Here are just a few of the toys I found when going through old memorbilia this past weekend.
It's okay Emma, I remember chewing of Strawberry Shortcake shoes when I was little. I guess they are just a yummy texture. You know what's also funny, my strawberry shortcake dolls still smell sweet. Ahh...good memories.
Whitney McAdams, if you're reading this. I thought a whole lot about you when I found these treasures. Once again, good memories.

BIG DAY!!!!

First and foremost our sweet Emma learned to officially crawl this evening!! WAY TO GO EMMA!!! HUGE MILESTONE!!!! Also, check the awesome hair to go with it!! (make sure sound is on)

This morning we took Emma swimming for her first time....loved it.

Ok...we think Emma has started to say her first word, "duck." She got a toy duck from Auntie Kimmy a couple days ago. Since then, we've been playing with it alot and yesterday I noticed while I kept saying "duck" to her, all of a sudden I heard her say, "duh..". It's different than when she says, "da da da da da" all the time, but hasn't quite learned to associate it with Daddy yet. Derek noticed her doing the same thing last night in her bathtime while playing with the duck.."duh" She continued it during the day, then tonight we got it on tape. Who knows...but it sure looks like she has learned to say her first word. Who would of thought that it would be the word...."duck"

We had to put the original video in here as well so you can hear the cute sounds she was making.

Our little Holly Hobbie!!

I asked my friend dear friend Sara if she could make Emma a little holly hobbie pioneer dress. She is an amazing seamstress and did an incredible job. I wanted Emma to wear it in the Freedom Festival baby contest. She was so dang cute. I wanted it to be similar as the pic above of the little Holly Hobbie and I think it came VERY close with material, style, and all. LOVE IT! Sara you are amazing. Here is some of Sara's little pretties ...precious. We are going to cherish this sweet outfit. :)

cold, cough, fever,ear ache, teething,...

Are we serious? Last week Emma had a fever just after we got back from our Pioneer Trek and realized it's from a tooth that's cutting next to her two bottom teeth. Then Sunday she caught a crappy cough and cold but the fever ceased. Then the last couple days, I've noticed she's been grabbing at her ear. THEN last night she caught another fever. So this morning we go to her Pediatrician and he tells me she's cutting all 4 teeth on the top, PLUS the one on the bottom, she does have a slight ear infection, and still has her terrible cough and cold. Poor little girl. She's got it all going on right now. Surprisingly enough, she has been over all a pretty good champ. It's when the fever comes and the cough gets bad when she feels completely miserable. I can't give her any cold medicine so all she can have is amoxicillin for ears, sleep with humidifier on, and LOVE!!! Bless her heart.

She loves her crib......
