Dinosaurs!!

We went to the Dinosaur park in Ogden a little over a week ago. It was fun to have a little outing with the family during my spring break. I've been meaning to post some pictures but haven't gotten around to it until now. Emma had LOTS of fun and we have lots of pictures...of course!

In contact with the beast!! Lots of growling going on between the both of them :)
Emma had lots of fun in the playground

Emma giving Daddy kisses

I think this was Emma's favorite part of the park. There were a few operated dinosaurs making very realistic sounds and movements. Emma was pretty nervous at first but then warmed up and had a hard time leaving the room. I thought it was scary,
Once again, Emma meets with her ancestors!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

If you use the internet very much, you've undoubtedly noticed that Google occasionally has a unique logo to celebrate special events. I just barely saw today's version and I think it's my favorite so far.

Apparently today is the 40th anniversary of the publication of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I grew up with many of his books and Emma loves them too. I think this book is in her diaper bag right now.

a sick couple of weeks...

Well as you may have learned from Derek's last post, we all had our fair share of sickness going on. Little miss Emma was so sad the first few days of her sickness. Something she had been doing when Daddy was gone, was grab one of Daddy's shirts and drag it around calling out for "daddy....daddy.....daddy." She would go stand at the door just calling for him. It was just too cute. She wanted her Daddy.
She has definitely become more of a Daddy's girl the last couple months since I have gone back to school. It's neat to see them bond more. It's also sad for me sometimes because I was used to having her want Mommy, when I was home with her more. But it's great to see them build that bonding relationship.

You knew she was so sick when she didn't want to play, only wanted to watch "Spot" and cuddle.
Dino and Monkey have been a huge support and comfort for her. They have been by her side 100%, even while sleeping and eating. I was just happy to see she got her appetite back.
Still so cute even though not feeling so hot.

Now you might ask..."how is Emma feeling now?" She's back to her fun and healthy self again. Derek...well he's still got a lingering cough. And me?, I'm healthy again as well.
Just love her to pieces!

The "Man Cold"

So all three of us have been sharing this cold for the past couple weeks. Emma and Mandy got it first and I was lucky to avoid it for quite a while. It finally caught up with me this week.

The result looked something like this:

The continuing saga of Floyd the fish. . .

As was noted in the comments of the previous post, Petsmart does indeed have a 2 week lifespan guarantee on their fish.
So Saturday night we came home with Floyd the Second. He's been with us three days so far and we haven't managed to kill him yet.

Of course Emma loves him. She looks for her fish every morning and during every meal.

This betta swims around much more than the other one which just lay on the bottom of the bowl most of the time. I think our first one was a lemon.
