Hee Haw!

We had a family outing to Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove this evening. First we went through the corn maze. It was lots of fun walking through the corn stalks, with Thomas bouncing around in the wagon and Emma making mischief. She really enjoyed calling out,"Help, we're lost!" to no one in particular. Mommy and Daddy also had fun hiding and jumping out to scare Emma.

There were lots of other fun activities and we all had a blast. Emma was really brave and went down the huge slide all by herself several times. She kept going back, climbing the hill, and sliding down again all by herself. Derek went once and busted his tail bone. Emma loved the petting zoo and said,"Hello there!" to every single animal inside.

It was getting dark by the time we got to the petting zoo, so we didn't see the big mud puddle next to the trough until Emma fell right into it while chasing some ducks. It was a messy end to a fun night, and we still picked out some pumpkins before heading home.

This girl..

(this picture was actually taken while she was in time out at the Provo Temple, hahaha)

So Emma had her 3 year check up. She did SO well on her eye test. These are her numbers...growing growing girl.
Weight: 31 lbs.- 60%tile
Height: 38.5 in.- 83%tile

She got three vaccines and did SO great. She was very brave and proud to get three whole band aids. AND because she got three shots, she also got a sucker and three princess stickers. She was a happy lady. She wanted to keep the band aids on for days. I took one of them off during bath time and she let me have it, she was SO mad. "No Mom, don't take those off. My band aids." with tears in her eyes. She reminded me over and over and over again not to take her band aids off. Good gravy..touchy touchy :)

She had a big summer. She started swim lessons and LOVED it. Miss Pam is amazing with her. I'm so glad we put her in. It's amazing the confidence that she gained in those few weeks.

She is so funny. She is talking up the storm. Here are some of her funnier quotes and random sayings as of lately.

"Mommy, Thomas doesn't like trees..just birdies and grass."

There was a bird in the parking lot at walmart and Emma yells "LOOK OUT FOR THE CARS AND BOYS AND GIRLS!"

"Oh no, I'm turning into a jelly bean" (she says this one a lot)

"The mountains are too slippery, they fall down by the cars"

We were talking about having mac and cheese for lunch and talking about how it might be hot at first so we have to blow on it. She says, "yeah so the mac and cheese doesn't burn my tongue...is that fair mom?"

"Santa looks like Humpty dumpty "

"Mom I'm stuck in a spider hole" (she also says this one a lot)

And tonight she gave me a big hug and says, "Mommy, you're my special girl" (oooohhh, wipe a tear)

And many other funny things this girl says on a daily basis. She is also SUCH a great big sister. The other day I was feeding Thomas some solid foods and he was just freaking out! Finally Emma came to Mommy's rescue. She asked me if she could help feed him. At first I was hesitant but decided to let her try. Yeah, he was perfect. He totally calmed down and let her feed him the rest. She did such a good job, gagged him a couple times but did well overall :) She can usually calm him down when he's upset. She also likes to harass him but I guess thats what siblings do right? He loves her.
