Great Uncle Bill

My great Uncle Bill...
He was the greatest of great Uncles.
His smile lit up any room. He showed so much love toward others.
I will never forget how much he showed pure love towards his wife, Aunt Gigi before she passed away in 2004.
He and his second wife, Hazel came to mine and Derek's wedding reception and danced the night away.
Uncle Bill was called home in January and there was a beautiful memorial for him on March 23.
It was a beautiful celebration of his life.
We will miss you Uncle Bill.

It was so great to see family of my dad's side, the Phair's.
Here Thomas is joking around with my dad and his twin brother, Uncle Larry.
My dad and his three brothers. Uncle Bob, Uncle Ron, Uncle Larry and Dad.
I sure love my Uncle Ron. He has always been the funniest and funnest Uncle's to joke around with.
Our of no where he took Thomas and started flipping him over his shoulder.

We will miss you Uncle Bill and look forward to seeing you again.

Thomas' birthday!

 March 30th, 2014
Cousin Finn was leaving to go back home to Maine so we decided to do a combined birthday party for the two boys. Finn's birthday is a month after Thomas'. It was a fun celebration!
Finn's Grandma, Marci made this amazing spider man cake for the boys.
We sent Thomas, Finn and Emma on a treasure hunt for their surprise.
Derek and I made the kids some bows, arrows, and quivers. I think they liked them. :)
I sure love my little niece, Margo. I could just hold her all day.
Not only was the cake SO cute, it was also delicious. I think this picture says it all. :)

Happy Happy early 4th birthday to Thomas and Finn!

April 3, 2014
Just before Spring Break, Thomas' preschool celebrated his 4th birthday.
We made a birthday poster to bring into class. They sang to him and had some birthday cookies.
It was cute to see Joseph join in the fun!
Singing "Happy Birthday" to Thomas boy! I think he felt pretty darn special. He is!

BIRTHDAY BOY!!
On Thomas' actual birthday morning, he helped Daddy make his favorite waffles.
He's always shooting a pretend bow and arrow. :)

And this is how I felt. I got the stomach flu the morning of his birthday.
I felt SO terrible that I couldn't participate in the activities. I watched most of it from the couch. :(
He got a t-ball mit and ball for his birthday.

He was happy to play some ball with Daddy and also go target shooting with the airsoft gun.

Playing with his bow and arrow.

We blind folded him just before his big surprise....
He got a BIKE!!!
Daddy took the kids to Chuckee Cheese where Thomas really, really wanted to go.

After Chuckee Cheese, they went to "Cravings" to pick out cupcakes and cookies...Thomas chose a Spring cookie. They brought them home and we put some birthday candles on it and sang Happy Birthday to this sweet boy. I just love him!

We had a fun friend birthday party for Thomas boy!
He had some of his great friends from neighborhood and school.

We played some "Duck Duck, Goose."

We had a little photo booth and got same great shots of these cuties!
 We played some musical chairs.

Getting ready to blow out his birthday candles on the ice cream sandwich cake. :)

Happy Happy 4th Birthday Thomas dear. You are growing so fast!
We love you SO much and are so grateful for you.

Spring Break 2014- MOAB! Day 2 and 3

On our second day, we took a hike to see Landscape Arch.
Along the way, we found little creatures like beetles and spiders that the kids wanted to check out with magnifying glass. We made sure the sun wasn't shining through glass so the little guys didn't get burned.

 Snack time!

After some rest, we then head out to see Balancing Rock.

Poor boy was sick and had a bad nights sleep. :(
It may have been bad allergies, not quite sure. He was still a great trooper.
We then made our way to see the historical Wolfe Ranch and saw some Petroglyphs. SO cool!
The Petroglyphs were estimated to be about 300-500 years old.

Our last site was the Delicate Arch. We didn't hike all the way to it this time, maybe when children are older. We did make it to the look out point. We all got out the binoculars to take a closer look.

Our view of the sunset on the way back to camp.
The three of them were putting a fire together to start cooking our tin foil dinners.
While the dinners were cooking, Thomas took off to climb a huge rock between ours and someone else's camp.
We could hear him telling them all sorts of fun things. :) He also mentioned that we didn't have marshmallows to roast on the fire. Ha!
A few minutes later, this nice couple came over with a bag of marshmallows to give to us.
Such nice people. We then enjoyed ourselves some roasted marshmallows.
Thomas using his bow and arrow to fight off the bad monsters.
The last morning, Emma joined Thomas and used their bow and arrows to fight off the bad monsters.

It was a great trip to Moab. We can't wait to go back.
