On our second day, we took a hike to see Landscape Arch.
Along the way, we found little creatures like beetles and spiders that the kids wanted to check out with magnifying glass. We made sure the sun wasn't shining through glass so the little guys didn't get burned.
Snack time!
After some rest, we then head out to see Balancing Rock.
Poor boy was sick and had a bad nights sleep. :(
It may have been bad allergies, not quite sure. He was still a great trooper.
We then made our way to see the historical Wolfe Ranch and saw some Petroglyphs. SO cool!
The Petroglyphs were estimated to be about 300-500 years old.
Our last site was the Delicate Arch. We didn't hike all the way to it this time, maybe when children are older. We did make it to the look out point. We all got out the binoculars to take a closer look.
Our view of the sunset on the way back to camp.
The three of them were putting a fire together to start cooking our tin foil dinners.
While the dinners were cooking, Thomas took off to climb a huge rock between ours and someone else's camp.
We could hear him telling them all sorts
of fun things. :) He also mentioned that we didn't have marshmallows to
roast on the fire. Ha!
A few minutes later, this nice couple came over with a bag of marshmallows to give to us.
Such nice people. We then enjoyed ourselves some roasted marshmallows.
Thomas using his bow and arrow to fight off the bad monsters.
The last morning, Emma joined Thomas and used their bow and arrows to fight off the bad monsters.
It was a great trip to Moab. We can't wait to go back.
