home ideas.....Master

master bedroom

Ok, so Derek and I am always thinking about home improvements. We get to it whenever we can. It's a VERY slow work in progress. There is one improvement after another and another and......you get the idea :)
So, I'm reaching out for some ideas. I know MANY of my friends/family out there have AWESOME taste for home decor and improvements. With home decor, I know what I love when I see it but it's SO hard for me to know how to go about it in my own home. I would like your opinion on what you think we should paint our night stands and dresser. This furniture was from my bedroom growing up. I am having a hard time deciding what to paint them. Also, the lamps. I may spray paint them black, shinier black and find shades in a pretty color. Ideas?
I got this shabby chic white bedding (I LOVE WHITE). I will have accents of color. My favorite color right now are pretty aqua and robin egg blue colors. Our walls are a basic tan. One day we will be putting up chunky crown and casing. I have a few ideas on wall color. They are the following...
Benjamin Moore- baltic gray

Benjamin Moore- willow creek
Benjamin Moore- Plymouth rock

I know they are VERY similar but have enough difference which makes it tough for me to choose. What do you think?

I like the first one! In college my interiors proffessor said that if you always choose the "dirtier" version of the color you really want you will be happier once it's up on te wall because of the way it dries/changes in the light. Also, white bedding all the way with chartreus pain on the dresser and navy blue on the night stands is my vote. I majored in interiors and I so so wish inha a place of my own to do over at the moment. Your furniture is so great!

ok so I love all your ideas of course! I like the first color or the last color the best... but you should get some of those $3 samples and paint patches on the wall for a few days... I love the idea of painting your dresser/nightstands, but you could do it after you paint the walls so you have a better idea of the tone in the room... oh and just to confuse you more, here's a post I bookmarked that I love:
