The time has come. The time in which I have been procrastinating for as long as I can because frankly, it's scared me half to death. That time is Potty training!!
What a great adventure it has been the last month and a half or so. But I have to say, Emma is the one that showed the interest so I quickly jumped on it. Bought the potty charts (from Smith's), a friend told me about these charts. They were so great. They came in a pack of like 6 and had little stickers. Emma is still using them, gotta keep the fire rollin'. Ive branched off to getting other types of stickers, that keeps it exciting. And of course, the rewards have been fun. The first 5 or so rewards have been places she's wanted to go like Jump on It, Chuckee Cheese, Ice Cream, Chuckee Cheese again, and Pirate Island. Now, we are at the stage of letting her just choose a prize at the dollar store or a little cheap doodad that she enjoys.
She's done pretty good over all. Going poop in a public big potty is still kind of scary for her. We've had and still have plenty of accidents but I am learning to just be patient with it hoping that one day it will stick and will be consistent. It would be so great if it was steady by the time this little baby boy comes.

Thanks for the tip about those potty training charts. We're just about to start with Bryson. I think I'll head to Smith's today to get some. I LOVE the pic of her with the phone on the potty. Classic. :)
Good job Emma! Those potty charts seem great...I just saw them last week at Maceys and thought to myself, "I wish I had known about these when I was potty training my first two..." We'll definitely use these type of charts for Kate.
P.S. stay patient...it sounds like you're doing great. and don't worry, someday very soon Emma will have no more accidents, yeah!
