Emma's comfort spot!

Emma LOVES sleeping and resting on Mommy and Daddy's chest. The picture of her on Dad's chest was hilarious. That was taken yesterday. I came back from running some errands and found Emma KONKED out on Dad's chest. It was SO cute.
Late last night Derek was up with her to feed her. I noticed they were still up an hour or so later and so I went out to see how they were. Derek said that she has a runny nose. Then this morning I've been up with her and sure enough she has been sleeping in her 'comfort spot' and has a runny nose and her eye is tearing. It's heart breaking to see her sick with her first cold. I hope we can get her feeling better soon.

Halloween is coming up!!

Last year 2006 was such a fun Halloween. My work goes all out for Halloween and there is a contest in each department who has the best decoration and the best costumes. The front desk girls won the best decorated department. As you can tell we did "Super Mario Brothers" theme. It was SUCH a blast!!

I have to admit we had the best costumes ever. It was such a blast being Mario and Princess Peach. Little did we know that we'd have a little "Toad" (not literally) added to our family by this Halloween. hehehe!!

We noticed the other day that we think our sweet little Emma has her mom's long neck. Oh oh, I just hope she is not called goose neck, olive oil, etc... growimg up like her Mom was. I think it's very pretty on her and she couldn't be any cuter. :)

Daddy daughter time!

Emma is definitely a "daddy's girl". Derek is such a wonderful daddy to our sweet daughter. He always seems to have the calming touch; he's a natural. I love watching him with her and feel so grateful to have such an amazing and patient husband and wonderful dad to our daughter. We love you Daddy!!

Emma LOVES sitting and watching the computer as Dad does his work. It's so funny. Maybe she'll be computer savvy just like her Dad.

Emma used to not like bath time, but now she LOVES it!! Isn't that the sweetest face??
We love Emma's little facial expressions during her happy wake time. Whether it be gas or whatever, it's still SO cute. :) She's growing up so much and so fast.

Time flies!!

Well, our sweet little Emma is now 2 weeks old. Man, if time continues flying like it has been, she’s going to be driving, dating, going to college, getting married, etc.. before we know it. We are just trying to savor this time and stage that she’s at right now. Emma loves to sleep, sleep, eat, sleep some more, poop, and sleep some more. BUT she’s not as good at sleeping at night. She gets up all through the night, although last night we managed to get one extra hour of sleep. We’re trying to work as a team, it’s been really rough but of course Derek and I just look at our sweetie and say, “of course she’s worth it.” Hopefully the crazy sleeping schedule can calm down soon and get on track…we’ll see.

Derek swaddled her up and left her legs out because she's been kicking her blanket off...it was so cute and looked like an oversized diaper. :)

We went to our dentist office and they were able to make a molding of Emma's hand and foot with the lucky toe. She wasn't too happy during the process of putting her hand and foot in the molding paste. They turned out precious!
