Easter Day!

After church we took some pictures in our neighbors back yard. Thomas LOVED the rocks and kept throwing them in the waterfall. The kids also received there Easter baskets and we spent some time going through them. Emma got spring shirts, Thomas got pajamas and little knick knacks. I also made the children some super hero capes for their favorite stuffed animals; Emma's bear shelly and monkey and Thomas' little brown bear.

Easter morning

Early Easter Sunday morning Derek and I taught the children an Easter lesson about our Savior's resurrection. I made some Resurrection rolls that were hollow inside to represent the Savior's tomb. Emma helped out with explaining the story of his Death and Resurrection. It was a beautiful morning.
I love his morning hair and sweet morning eyes.

Easter egg hunt part one

We had a little Easter egg hunt and colored eggs with some neighbors and friends. The kids started at the top house and made their way down a few houses, ending with ours. Here they are getting ready to start.
This is so funny. I still don't quite know why Emma was raising her hand. Maybe she was signifying she was ready to begin.
And she's off!!
It took Thomas a minute to figure out what in the world he was supposed to do. He would pick up an egg and we would tell him to put it in his basket. He would, and then put it back on the grass where he found it and go find another egg and so on, hahahha. He got the hang of the real game, real fast.
He was smart. While the other kids rushed down the hill to the other homes, they missed a TON of eggs at the first house. I think Thomas spent the majority of his hunt up at the first house and was quite successful.
Emma and Thomas enjoying their yummies after the hunt. This was an awesome realization to Thomas that there was actually candy and treats inside these eggs. Heaven. Emma loved wearing her bunny ears. They really did have a fun time. The sun was right in their faces, it was a little hard to get a smile out of them without being blinded by the sun.

Easter egg hunt part two

We had lots of fun at Oma and Opa's house for the annual Easter egg hunt. Cousin Finn wasn't as much interested in hunting for the eggs as he was holding all the cars he possibly could. It was so funny! We made a fun game of it by hiding the cars for him to find. Thomas had the egg hint game down and had fun gathering the eggs and treasures. :)

Emma loving every minute of the hunt. She was wearing Aunt Britta's sunglasses that she let her play with. She didn't take them off for a minute that whole night. She was also a good helper to Thomas in finding some eggs and hidden treasures :)
hahahaha, I love this picture. At the end of the hunt, Thomas got all giddy and silly all of a sudden.

2012- Coloring Easter eggs at Oma's

We colored Easter eggs at Oma and Opa's house. This was Thomas' first time and he got really into it. and kept saying, "Egg...egg".
I tried to teach him to GENTLY put it in the color dye because he would normally just drop it in and color would be all over. He got better and better. It's so much fun enjoying these holiday traditions.

Emma loved all the colors and creations she got out of dipping her eggs.
Of course Daddy getting his egg dyeing on. He has always loved coloring Easter eggs.

Emma's Easter Tea Party

We had a very fun Easter Tea Party with Emma and some of her girlfriends. They had so much fun and she had fun entertaining her friends. It was cute when they first came over, she would quickly get their spring flower hat and put it on their heads. She also loved making her guests laugh. I'd say it was a great Tea party and Emma can't wait until the next Easter Tea Party. :)

Her friends that joined us were Brooke, Hannah, Fay and Courtney. Aren't they adorable? We missed Lucy and Lily.

It was fun getting into it and asking the girls in a proper voice if they would like some "tea". They would giggle. I tried to teach them the proper way to drink from a tea cup with pinky up. It was hard for them to get that technique down but cute to see them try.

Emma LOVED entertaining the girls with her silly jokes and faces. I love this picture.

My two little bunnies!

Aren't these little bunnies so cute? Emma made an Easter basket in her Preschool and Thomas made these bunny ears at his friend Mi's house for playgroup. Normally he doesn't wear things on his head too well, but he was proud to show us his ears. I love how excited they are for Easter.
