Thomas is six weeks old!

Our little man Thomas is 6 weeks! Yes, time does fly by...even with the lack of sleep :) He is SUCH a sweet boy. I absolutely LOVE this stage when he looks at us and focuses, gives a smile and makes the cutest cooing noises. I love every stage, this one is a sweet one.
He is huge. He can now fit in 6 month size onesies. Did I mention he is 6 weeks? He's a big boy I'll tell ya. Emma loves him. She loves him so much and just laughs at him all the time.
We love you Thomas boy. Thank you for coming to our family.

Our little Gems....

They are idols of hearts and of household!
They are angels of God in disguise;
The sunlight still sleeps in their tresses,
His glory still gleams in their eyes;
These truants from home and from Heaven,
They have made me more gentle and mild;
And I know now how Jesus could liken
The kingdom of God to a child.
-words of Charles M. Dickinson

They truly are a blessing in our family!

and the name is....

Well we have finally confirmed a name for our new son, his name is
THOMAS RICHARD FRAZIER
April 12, 2010
weight 8 lbs. 7 oz. 21 in. long

I thought maybe I would give a little bit of detail of how the FAST delivery went on our big day. Last week after much thought, discussion, and prayer we decided to have me induced on Monday morning (day before his due date). The doctor was giving us the option of doing it a week ago, but that seemed too early. We weighed the pros and cons and decided this would be the best route to go.

This is how the labor process went. Here we go!
5am-arrived for my induction
5:50am
- got me hooked up to I.V. and antibiotic (for bacterial strep)
right away.
6:30am- Lori (our AMAZING nurse) hooked me up to the pitocin
I was just having my normal braxton hicks contractions, not any 'real' ones.
7:55am- I started to have my INTENSE 'real' contractions about 2-3 minutes apart right away, holy crap! We called Lori our nurse and requested an epidural. She could see how FAST they were coming. She hurried and checked me and I was already dilated to an 8. We were all pretty much panicking and frazzled. Bless Lori's heart, she hadn't checked me when I first came in because I was only having my braxtons and Dr. Weibell was going to be coming soon anyway so she said he would just check me when he got there. No one thought it would happen SO FAST!
At this point I felt like I was sitting on his head and everything on in my inside wanted to be on my outside :)

I was worried that it was too late to get the epidural at this point. Lori made a quick call to Dr. Taylor, the anesthesiologist.
8:11am- Dr. Taylor was there in a jiffy, and poked me right away. It took a while for it to kick in but it was just enough to cut the pain, but I felt like I still had control and felt the pressure of him coming out.
8:34am
- Dr. Weibell came and broke my water and I started pushing.

8:50am- Sweet Thomas was out. AMAZING LABOR!!

We seriously still can't believe how quickly everything happened. He is "Turbo Thomas". I guess this may be a trend with all my babies. I will go from having NOTHING to having intense contractions really close together. That's how it was with Emma as well. I went from nothing to having contractions 4-5 minutes apart with her.
We are so thrilled and feel SO blessed to have him here safe and sound. Everything went amazing. I wish all my labors could be like this. He was definitely ready to come. I just look at him and my heart melts. Our hearts are so full and we feel the love our Heavenly Father has for our family to send us such a beautiful son.

The staff getting everything prepared in a rush. We were really impressed.

Happy 90th birthday Grandpappy!

We love you!
We recently lost my Grandpa Mills a couple months ago. It was wonderful going to his grave site and celebrating his 90th birthday together with my little family tonight. Emma couldn't stop talking about it once I mentioned it to her this afternoon what we were going to do. She kept saying, "Go see Grandpa Mills for his Birthday."
We were there for a while and sang happy birthday to him and listened to her play the harmonica in his honor :) After a while she was getting ready to pick up the flowers and wanted to go SEE Grandpa Mills to really sing happy birthday to him. She would say, "go see Grandpa Mills in his bed."
Oh our sweet girl, bless her heart. We thought maybe she already was starting to understand that Grandpa Mills wasn't here anymore since the funeral. We've talked to her about life and death for quite some time now but tonight was a new experience. We then again talked to her about how his spirit lives in heaven and his body is under the ground. Told her he could see us but we can't see him right now while he's in heaven. It was again a sweet experience. I LOVE these teaching moments as her parents and her sweet innocence.

She was excited to bring Grandpa Mills his flowers for his birthday.
