Our Valentines!!!!!!!!

(I loved this note...I laughed SO hard. Thanks babe!!)
What a fun Valentines Day we had. I got up early with Emma and made Daddy some breakfast in bed with pink heart shaped pancakes, sausage, and eggs. I made a couple cards from Emma and I of how much Daddy means to us. Throughout the day I would find little things like a love note written on the bathroom mirror, a sweet little note in my makeup box (refer to picture above), and dozen roses left on the door step. He's so sweet. We wanted to go out to dinner and decided to give it a shot and see what the crowds looked like. We went to Outback Steakhouse and surprisingly enough we only had to wait 20 minutes. Of course minutes after we got our name in, the crowd started piling in and turned to be 80 minute wait. Talk about good timing. It was wonderful to spend the day with the two people I love so dearly.

"Let Me Call You Sweetheart"

Here are our Prom pictures from last Friday night! We had such a blast!! We even had a group picture taken of some friends of ours in the ward, Dallas and Rebecca Golden, John and Rachel Hone, and Seth and Coleen Ure. It was great to prettied and dressed up. Especially for all of us first time Mama's. It was so fun being at the Prom with my sweetheart. The night was full of fun and we danced the night away!

Squeals and Toes

Lately Emma has really been discovering those cute vocal cords of hers. She squeals ALL the time. Here's a video of her loving to hear herself during her bath time. While squealing the toes were becoming very appetizing to her. The past week she's LOVED sucking on her toes...it's hilarious. She is so funny and full of life.

YES!!!

YES DEREK, I will go to Prom with you!!! :) I love you!!

Derek, I hope you get this before this evening of our Ward Prom night. I am SO excited.
Derek asked me to our ward Prom a few days ago. He had the WHOLE bath tub filled with balloons. I had to pop all the pink ones to find words that puzzled together to ask me to prom. YAY!! I am SO excited!! I love you sweetie.

cold winter days......

These cold cold days, staying cooped up indoors most days makes my brain gizmos run wild with new ideas in creating new little projects. One new thing I've recently started are name shadow box frames. I think I'm going to name them "Emma Jane's frames". I've started making them for friends/family babies rooms and a couple people who have seen them want me to make some for them. It's been lots of fun and I have enjoyed doing it. They are very time consuming but I take time to do them during Emma's nap times or when she is in bed for the night. I did Emma's first and have made three other ones. I can see as I make more they get better throughout time. Anyways...here is a picture of a few of the ones I've made.

Little Emma=5 MONTHS OLD!!

Oh my goodness slow down time, SLOW DOWN. Our little Emma is getting so big. She turned 5 months on Tuesday but I haven't been able to make a new post because I've had the darn stomach flu that's been going around. IT GOT ME yesterday and so here I am today thankfully I feel SO much better. Anyways- our little munchkin is growing so fast. Some new things she's learned in the last little while is...
lifting her head SO much better at tummy time. She hasn't been much of a fan of tummy time but she just recently started lifting her head really well and last week she rolled over for the first time!!!!
Two weeks ago she started on rice cereal. She is so funny when she eats. She laughs while eating when I say in a funny way, "EAT it" or "SWALLOW". She just gets such a kick out of it.
I love just watching her concentrate SO hard on her toys and grasping and reaching to put them in her mouth.
She also loves standing up. She's so strong.
We love you Emma girl!!

Viewing of Pres. Hinckley

We had the wonderful opportunity and experience to attend the viewing of our dear late Prophet, Pres. Hinckley this morning. It was amazing to see him and to see SO MANY people there to show there love. As we were leaving the line was clear out of the conference center. It took us about 45 minutes to go through and estimate it's probably about 2 hours by the time we left. It was neat showing Emma and talking to her about President Hinckley. Of course she doesn't understand what's going on but we were glad she could be there. It was an amazing experience for us.
