HAPPY 2 year ANNIVERSARY!!

HAPPY 2 year Anniversary to us is right. What a wonderful 2 years it's been for Derek and I. Derek and I met in Institute in Spring of 2005 and also had a health class together. We started dating May '05 and Oct. 21st '05 we were engaged and married January 12th 2006. Derek is truly my best friend and best thing that has ever happened to me. I thank Heavenly Father every day for sending Derek into my life and that we can be together for ALL Eternity....WOOHOO!!!

Derek and I had SUCH a blast celebrating our Anniversary. My sister and Mom were able to take shifts to babysit little Emma so we could have an all day outing. We went to the wonderful CHEESECAKE Factory...Oh my lands that was amazing food. It was about an hour and a half wait but worth every minute. Later that evening we went and saw the movie, "Enchanted." LOVED it. Those of you who haven't seen it, it's a good one. Derek even liked it which says a lot since he is very picky with his movies :) especially fairy tale ones like Enchanted. We had so much fun. It was REALLY good for us to go our with just us since we haven't been able to do that much since Emma has come into our lives. As you can see in the pictures below we were just being so goofy the whole time in the restaurant from Derek being challenged in the going cross eyed game, to me dancing in my chair to the music, my hiccuping SO entirely loud..it was out of control how bad they were, etc....

Emma is 4 months!

"Hello everyone, meet my new little pet monkey!"

These pictures of her bath time were taken last night. She was talking up a storm and being absolutely adorable.

Two things....1.)Emma turned 4 months on Saturday and 2.)exactly a year ago today we found out we were pregnant with Emma. It was on a Sunday morning (fast Sunday) and I woke up feeling impressed that I need to take a pregnancy test. I didn't think much of it but it wouldn't leave my mind and thoughts. Finally the impression dragged me out of bed to go take a test. Sure enough it came out positive. I had to keep looking at it to make sure I wasn't mistaking. Derek had been WAY sick that morning and I jumped on the bed and got his attention to tell him the exciting news. She is just SO much fun. She talks a WHOLE bunch. By talking I mean she coos and makes all sorts of sounds. It's like she wants to talk :) She squeals a whole lot as well whether she's just making noise or whining, we can't help but laugh at the adorable sounds. She uses her hands a whole lot by lifting her little Monkey that Grandma Frazier gave her for Christmas, it is her favorite toy. She loves hugging it and putting it in her mouth, she lifts her shirts and dresses up and chews on the material, her teething ring, pretty much anything that she gets her hands on. What a sweetheart. She's also getting so big. Yesterday morning Derek woke up and was playing with Emma and asked, "Emma, did you grow over night?" It really seems like she's grown a whole lot this week. She's precious and our little angel. We love you Emma girl!

Emma's first Christmas and New Years!!

It's been a while since we've posted anything. I guess we should bring you up to date of our holidays. What a fun and memorable Christmas and New Years it was for our little family. Emma was so much fun and it was so great celebrating her first Christmas. We hope you enjoy the slide show of pictures from our holidays. It was a wonderful time being with family and loved ones on this special time of the year.

For some reason the title of this book made me smile. I love the chocolate chip cookie dough. Seriously, how did they let this slip through? It's out of print, but people are selling old copies for mucho dinero here.

little Emma is 3 months old!!!

Our little Emma is three months old today! We can't believe how FAST time flies. She is growing so fast. She is now 11 lbs. and 24 inches long. Her length is in the 97 percentile. Pretty tall little girl. She is so interactive now.

it's COLD season!!

My poor little family has been sick with the cold the past week. Derek has been sick since the beginning of last week. He's been deprived from holding Emma all week. Then sadly enough Emma started getting sick last Friday. I noticed throughout the day she started coughing a lot, her nose was very stuffy, you could hear heaviness in her chest, and her eye started watering and turning really red. We took her to the doctor on Saturday and they told us we couldn't give her any medication just lots of love and care. BUT I noticed today she hasn't been coughing as much. I think she is getting much better. Thank goodness. Derek on the other hand is still struggling with his cold. It just won't go away, bless his heart.
