Derek's 26th (old as dust) Birthday

No, Derek's not 'old as dust'. If he was then I don't even want to know what my age is compared to, (well I turn 27 in October). We had a family birthday party for him at Nelson's park by our house with both our families there. It was lots of fun being with everyone. My neices and nephews absolutely adore Derek.

We got together with some friends and had a campfire up in the canyon and roasted some yummy hotdogs.

The Zoo

We loved seeing all the fluffy zoo animals at Hogle Zoo. We both took the day off of work and went to the zoo. We saw all sorts of interesting and cute little creatures. We felt like big kids getting so excited over so many of the fun animals. We tease saying I have a long neck so we thought it was appropriate for me to stand in front of my giraffe friends, after all we have something in common. I'm a geek :)

Bun in the Oven!!

IT'S A GIRL!! We are so excited to announce that we are having a little baby girl! The ultra sound was amazing. 'Little' kept hiding in the walls, making it harder to see her, but finally she warmed up. Derek called it...he knew this whole time that we are having a little girl. Must be the Dad natural instincts. Derek is sooo cute with her, he talks to her every night. One night when he was pokin' at the belly and talking to her, she kicked right where his nose was. She is definately going to be a daddy's girl. We are so thrilled to have her come into our lives.

Merry Christmas

It's Christmas Time!! Derek and I had such a fun first Christmas together married. We had my whole side of the immediate family together for the first time in like 17 years. We celebrated Christmas Eve at my sister Deb's beautiful home. We also had a family christmas party at Derek's aunts house with all his family and extended family. We love this time of year when it brings everyone together. Derek loves his little neice Ava. She is so scrumptious!! Here are a few of our other neices that are posing to show off their new slippers they got from Grandma and Grandpa Phair.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Derek and I had the best costumes in the world. We were Mario and Princess Peach. We had such a blast dressing up and going trick or treating with Derek's brothers and sister and her friends and with my neices and nephews. We loved driving down the street with our Nintendo music playing blasting loud. Derek was sooo awesome keeping up his character all night like he was playing in a Nintendo game.

Park City

Derek and I went to Park City Alpine 'Coaster' with a couple friends. OH MY GOSH, it was SO much fun! Derek uploaded the video on 'You Tube' and placed it on our website. Hopefully you can pull it up and watch it. We had a blast!!

Our Germany trip

We had the opportunity of visiting Germany this summer. We visited with Derek's mom's side of the family and toured through all over Southern Germany. We saw the largest Kookoo clock, visited Neuschwanstein castle, Rothenburg, and many other amazing sites. It was the trip of a lifetime.
